I know people who shop for new clothes on a weekly basis. Some people I know will wear something once or twice and then don’t want to be seen wearing again. What happens to all of this discarded clothing? Garment waste is a problem. I personally like to shop at second hand stores and rescue discarded clothing the same way some people like to support rescuing pets. It’s important to me. I’ve found some awesome and amazing things in second hand stores. I have a friend who’s making a living doing this and I follow other designers doing it. I think it’s cool and environmentally conscious. There is no universal definition of fashion, everyone interprets fashion according to their perception and comfort zone. Some women’s loves to wear high heels, while others love to hang around in sneakers. Some follow the latest trends, imitate celebrities, others just try their own patterns, color combination, and designs.
