One day, unexpectedly, the people who lived in our house before us stopped by; they knew my parents. They had 2 beautiful daughters who were about my age. Honestly, I get it. I hated being a kid. Everyone always says that you’ll miss being a kid, but what about when you have a dysfunctional family? Abusive family? Remember, though, that I am biased because of what I experienced. On the flip side, you may absolutely miss being a kid as an adult! It really depends on the childhood you had. It’s honestly hard to see how you could not hate it sometimes; you’re always told what to do, you miss out on current opportunities that only older people can look into, you go through a terrible phase of physical and emotional changes that no one seems to understand, everyone is condescending to you, and honestly- if you live in America, at least- the public school system is, to put it nicely, the worst.
